Skagit River House
Concrete, Washington 2006
This project includes a main house connected by a covered walkway to a detached garage with living space above.
The site is along the south bank of the Skagit River in the North Cascade Mountains of Washington. The design opens the house to views of the river while allowing southern light deep into the space.
The two structures are closely linked for visual access throughout the structure. The pergola is placed to form both an entry court and a more
informal courtyard on the river side.
